Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center, LLC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide general care to patients of all ages in a Gadsden, AL setting. This full-time role supports the Gadsden Physician Management Surgical Associates and involves daytime shifts.

The NP will perform tests, record histories, provide treatments, assist physicians, and prescribe medications in coordination with the care team. A MSN/ARNP, an active state license, BLS, and EHR experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN with specialization as an ARNP is required.
• BLS certification at hire and must remain current.
• 1–2 years of NP experience preferred; experience with EHR is requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide general care to patients of all ages with patience, care, and compassion.
• Perform tasks within scope of practice (tests, histories, treatments), assist physicians and prescribe medications.

The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding.
• Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.

Qualifications

• MSN with specialization as an ARNP
• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
• BLS upon hire and maintain current
• Previous experience with electronic health record
• One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
