Job summary

Genesis Healthcare’s Elm Wood Center in Claremont, NH seeks a Staff Development Coordinator (NPE) to lead nursing education, orientation, and competency programs for licensed nurses and CNAs. The role supports infection control and clinical PCC training.

The Nurse Practice Educator will report to the Director of Nursing, develop an annual education calendar, and guide competency assessments across shifts. RN licensure and BLS/CPR are required, with prior long-term care leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• A minimum of three years full-time nursing experience; two years in long-term care preferred.
• Previous experience teaching adults encouraged.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet evening/night shifts.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing orientation, mentoring programs, and evaluate competencies.
• Identify staff learning needs and implement training programs.
• Develop annual nursing education calendar including mandatory in-services.
• Oversee Infection Control and Employee Health programs and track vaccines.
• Perform clinical rounds to coach staff and assess training needs.
