Job summary

Elm Wood Center, part of Genesis HealthCare, Inc., is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (NPE) to lead nursing education, orientation, and competency programs for licensed nurses and CNAs. This role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on infection control, employee health, and clinical Point Click Care training.

Qualifications include RN licensure, 3+ years of nursing experience (long-term care preferred), and ability to coordinate education across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience; long-term care preferred.
• Experience teaching adults and coordinating education programs.
• Flexibility to work evenings and nights as needed.
• Maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation, nurse education, and competency evaluation for licensed nurses and CNAs.
• Oversee infection control and employee health programs.
• Develop annual nursing education calendars including mandatory in-services.
• Coordinate training and evaluate staff competencies.
• Perform clinical rounds to coach and assess needs.
