Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. seeks a part-time Nurse for the MOUD program at the Shirley MA facility. The role involves administering medications to incarcerated patients enrolled in SUDT, and triaging patients referred for Opioid or Alcohol Use Disorder treatment.

Qualified applicants hold a MA nursing license (LPN or RN) with CPR/BLS certification; prior DOC or correctional health experience is preferred. Training and weekend shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS certification or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to incarcerated patients in MOUD program.

• Control and count medications per state and federal standards.
• Complete 40-hour DOC new employee training.

Job description

Location: Shirley, MA - Shirley Medium/Minimum Massachusetts Correctional Institution. Medication for Opioid Use Disorder Program (MOUD)

Schedule: Part-time, 16 hours a week. 5:00am-1:00pm

Week 1: Friday and Saturday

Week 2: Sunday and Friday

Pay rate: $38.00-$42.00/hour. $10.00/hour shift differential on the weekend

The Nurse is responsible for:

• Administering medication to incarcerated patients who are enrolled in the Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUDT) Program
• Triaging patients referred to treatment for Opioid Use and/or Alcohol Use Disorder
• Control, counting and administer medication in accordance with state and federal standards and regulation.
• Successful completion of 40 Hour Department of Correction New Employee Training

Qualifications

• Valid MA nursing license from accredited school required, LPN or RN
• Must have current CPR/BLS certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health preferred
• DOC experience preferred
