Job summary

UT Health San Antonio seeks an experienced nursing operations leader to oversee patient care operations, HR management, facilities and coordination. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality care, budgeting, staffing, and enforcing standards in a dynamic healthcare setting.

The position emphasizes continuous improvement, regulatory compliance and collaboration with clinical teams across the university's health system. A BSN is required, with oncology nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Ability to apply in-depth knowledge to complex situations.
• Ability to lead initiatives and improve workflows.
• Knowledge of business and management in planning, resource allocation, HR modeling, leadership, and coordination.
• Organizational skills to manage schedules and emergent requirements.
• Detail-oriented with strong planning, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Bio/Chemo nursing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversees and participates in patient care operations.
• Implements continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and external regulations.
• Provides financial oversight including supply inventory and budget preparation.
• Ensures performance meets annual budget targets with corrective actions as needed.
• Oversees staff selection, supervision, development and evaluation.
• Develops staffing plans and justifies incremental resources.
• Maintains practice standards and workflows.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
