Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to help plan, organize and evaluate patient care operations for designated areas on a 24-hour basis. Under the Nurse Manager, you will guide, coach and evaluate the work of nursing staff and support the Nursing Professional Practice Model.

The ANM will collaborate with other patient care departments to improve outcomes, promote a healthy work environment, and ensure high-quality, cost-conscious care

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required; Masters preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Two to three years of clinical experience in patient care setting.
• Certification in nursing administration or related area; or timeline-based eligibility.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations 24/7.
• Guide, coach and evaluate work performance of patient care staff in a designated area.
• Collaborate with other patient care departments related to operations and services.
