Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support the Nurse Manager in leading a team of care providers, promoting a productive work environment, and achieving positive patient outcomes. The ANM will coordinate patient care across designated areas and work around the clock to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires a BSN, an Ohio RN license, 2–3 years of clinical experience, and leadership demonstration; a Master’s degree is preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent with major in nursing.
• Master's degree preferred in nursing or related field.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• 2–3 years of clinical patient-care experience.
• Certification in nursing administration or related area; or certified within eligibility timeline.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations for designated areas on a 24-hour basis.
• Support Nurse Manager in guiding, coaching and evaluating patient care staff.
• Collaborate with other patient care departments to ensure seamless operations and services.
