This is a full-time position in the Neurology Department, specifically in Alzheimer Therapeutic Program (ATP) collaborating with multiple providers in a multidisciplinary team. The incumbent will spend 50% effort (average 20 hours/week) assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for adults and their families.
-Responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of patients undergoing specialized treatments in the Memory Disorders Unit.
-Collaborates with the inpatient and outpatient clinical care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
-Ensures that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family.
-Participates in clinical research trials within scope of practice.
Daily supervision and assignment of duties will come jointly from the Memory Disorders Division Chief, Ambulatory Nurse Manager, and the Ambulatory Nursing Director.
This role will also spend 50% effort (average of 20 hours/week) providing triage nursing support within the memory disorders unit, as well as cross coverage in other divisions based on staffing needs.
One year of RN experience required
Neurology and ambulatory outpatient preferred

-Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
-Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
-Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
-Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
-Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
-Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
