Job description

Massachusetts General Hospital has opportunities available for experienced Inpatient Nurses to care for patients boarding in the Emergency Department (ED) while awaiting inpatient beds. The ideal candidate will be patient and family-focused, possess strong clinical knowledge, enjoy collaboration, and be comfortable in a dynamic Level 1 trauma center environment. This role offers exposure to ED processes and the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills across adult inpatient specialties such as Medicine, Surgery, and Neurology.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
  • Associate Degree required; BSN preferred
  • At least 1 year of med/surg/telemetry experience; ER experience preferred
  • Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care management
  • Perform assessments, treatments, discharge teaching, and update records according to policies
