Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Navigator for the Diagnostic Mammography team in New Hampshire. You will guide patients through abnormal findings, provide education, coordinate care, obtain informed consent, and work with radiologists and technologists to ensure clarity and comfort throughout the imaging process.

The role includes pre-procedure visits, potential IV starts for contrast imaging, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and support staff.

Qualifications

• Must have NH RN license and strong breast imaging knowledge.
• BSN preferred for enhanced clinical leadership and care coordination.
• Experience coordinating diagnostic breast care and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through abnormal findings and imaging workups with clinical and emotional support.
• Coordinate appointments, biopsies, and follow-up visits with radiology and surgical teams.
• Discuss results with patients and relay information with radiologists as needed.
• Assist in MQSA/ACR accreditation activities and quality improvements.
• Provide patient education and counseling, ensuring informed consent and safety.
• Support pre-procedure care, including potential IV starts for contrast imaging.
