Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiology Quality Improvement Specialist Navigator, a mammography technologist certified as a Breast Health Navigator, to ensure competent and compassionate care for patients in the Breast Imaging Department.

This role supports pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure workflows, coordinates scheduling of imaging-guided procedures, and maintains accurate pathology and radiology records.

Qualifications

• Certified Breast Health Navigator with mammography technologist background.
• Ability to educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Experience with Epic breast reporting system and pathology addenda preferred.
• Strong scheduling and coordination skills for imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, compassionate patient care in breast imaging.
• Coordinate scheduling of ultrasound-guided, stereotactic, and MRI-guided procedures and follow-ups.
• Explain pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients and families.
• Maintain and update the Epic breast reporting system with pathology results.
• Communicate biopsy results and care plans to patients promptly.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to optimize patient care.
• Lead or participate in team meetings and quality-improvement activities.
