Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee unit operations and drive high-quality patient care. You will mentor staff, manage performance improvements, and ensure compliance with hospital policies while delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing across infusion and venous access services.

The role requires an active RN license, acute care experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to support a purpose-driven team at AdventHealth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• 1+ charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.
• 1+ nursing experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within RN scope and ensure patient safety.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapies and adjust care plans.
• Assess patient conditions to determine venous access methods and address complications.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for IV access and infusion.
• Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapies to ensure understanding.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals to uphold standards.
• Mentor staff through training programs to enhance skills and career progression.
• Resolve conflicts promptly to maintain a positive work environment and teamwork.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing changes.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Mentor and precept new staff with hands-on training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies to maintain safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
