Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the 11A Trauma Step-Down unit. This full-time position involves caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric trauma patients in a 24-bed unit, in collaboration with the Surgical Trauma Service.

The role emphasizes patient and family education, adherence to Nursing Practice Act, and participation in performance improvement activities. Day shift, Monday through Friday, with potential schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Certification within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administer medications.
• Promote patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to improve patient outcomes.
• Engage in performance improvement activities.
• Support recruitment and orientation of staff.
• Ensure compliance with Nursing Practice Act and regulatory standards.
