Job summary

Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nurse Manager to lead a new 19-bed inpatient trauma unit (11B Trauma Step-Down). Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, full-time, leading a skilled team to deliver high-quality patient care in a Magnet-designated environment.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN/MSN, and leadership experience; MSNs preferred, with ongoing professional development and certification within 1 year where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• MSN preferred; MSN within 5 years if BSN, and MBA/related master's acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical and operational functions of a 19-bed trauma unit.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, cost-effective care through staff oversight.
• Recruit, orient, educate, credential and develop personnel.
• Delegate with shared governance and promote evidence-based practice.
• Oversee budget, resources, and performance improvement activities.
