Job summary

Amatus Health is seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee clinical nursing operations across detox and residential SUD programs in Baltimore, MD. You will lead nursing staff, ensure safe, patient-centered care, and drive regulatory compliance in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an active Maryland RN license with 3–5 years of nursing experience and 1–2 years in a leadership position, plus strong collaboration with medical and behavioral health teams. On-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in Maryland (or eligible for endorsement).
• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience with 1–2 years in a leadership/management role.
• Direct experience in substance use disorder treatment, including detox and residential settings.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in behavioral health/SUD treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to nursing staff across detox and residential programs.
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Supervise, train, and mentor nursing team members, including performance management.
• Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage, including on-call support.
• Collaborate with medical providers, therapists, and leadership to support treatment planning and patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards.
• Monitor and improve clinical workflows, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
• Respond to clinical issues and emergencies as needed.
