Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) for Rehabilitation services at Ascension Saint Thomas Rehabilitation Hospital in Nashville, TN. This full-time, day shift role oversees nursing operations and drives quality of patient care within the unit.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, active RN licensure, and significant rehab nursing and supervisory experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development within a national network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited BSN/ADN program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years of rehab nursing experience.
• Current state RN licensure; BCLS required; ACLS/CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.

What We're Looking For

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing operations within an assigned unit, including supervision of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical policies and standards, and collaborating with leadership to optimize patient care delivery.

Essential Functions

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years of rehab nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred.
