Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Lakewood is seeking a full-time Nurse Manager for the Medical and Pediatrics Clinic. The position offers an annual salary ranging from $85,470.00 to $92,444.35. The Nurse Manager will supervise nursing personnel and work alongside the Health Center Administrator and Clinical Director.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Full-time Nurse Manager position available for our Lakewood Medical and Pediatrics Clinic. Sea Mar Community Health Centers is accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized by the National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) level III. The Nurse Manager works in conjunction with the Health Center Administrator and Clinical Director in daily operations of the clinic and oversees clinical and administrative supervision of all nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate approximately 10-12 Medical Assistants, including assistant supervisors.
• Implement nursing policies and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Director and Health Center Administrator to meet Sea Mar’s standards, philosophy, and governmental regulations.
• Perform monthly audits (e.g., NPSG audits) and demonstrate knowledge of State and Federal Regulations as they apply to health centers or hospitals.
• Focus clinic efforts on quality measures, HEDIS, and Meaningful Use standards.
• Provide annual MA trainings (infection control, sterilization techniques, etc.).
• Lead hiring efforts for any MAs and participate in the hiring of other support staff.
• Oversee and maintain a patient care system of nurse-only visits.
• Ensure good communication (both written and verbal) and team building skills; the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with an active RN or BSN license in the state of Washington.
• Completed state mandated HIV education.
• Obtained Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), listening, and team building abilities.
