Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee day-to-day nursing operations in a long-term care setting. The incumbent will supervise shift staff, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and lead quality assurance efforts to maintain high standards of patient care.

The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN or RN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state
• Must possess and maintain current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term care or with geriatric populations is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong customer service, professionalism, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing personnel assigned to you.
• Cooperate with other resident services to maintain the resident’s total regimen of care.
• Participate in the community's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary.
• Complete and file required charting forms upon admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, observing the five rights of administration.
• Review medication administration and treatment records for completeness and accuracy.
• Make daily rounds to ensure nursing staff perform to standards.
