Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing degree from an accredited program and be licensed in the state.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred.
• Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions for the unit.
• Collaborate with resident services to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality assurance program for nursing services.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed.
• Complete and file admission/transfer/discharge records.
• Perform routine charting per policies.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered, observing 5 rights.
• Review med administration records for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Make daily rounds to ensure assigned staff meet standards.
