Job summary

Trinity Health in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Part-time RN Nursing Supervisor to lead nursing staff within a shared governance model and coordinate care across units. The role focuses on clinical excellence, staff mentorship, and ensuring smooth operations when managers are unavailable.

The position requires an RN license, BSN preferred, and at least two years of leadership experience as an RN Staff Nurse. Master’s degree is a nice-to-have along with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years' experience as RN Staff Nurse with demonstrated leadership required, preferably work experience concurrently in appropriate specialty area.
• Ability to meet all behaviors of the RN Staff Nurse Job description.
• MSN degree from an accredited school of nursing is a nice-to-have; leadership experience and other relevant licensure/certifications align with responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program leadership.
• Formally / informally supervises daily & house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team).
• May or may not have direct report relationships.
• May be accountable for staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput.
• May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process.
• Contributes to daily performance and adherence to regulatory requirements; drives team results.
• Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
