Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Manager for Hampton Behavioral Health Center in Westampton Township, NJ. The candidate will oversee patient care on assigned units, ensuring quality nursing, with supervision of staff and collaboration with medical staff.

Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday; the role involves performance improvement, staff development, and handling patient referrals and grievances in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New Jersey.
• Minimum of three years of hospital-based nursing.
• Minimum of two years experience in psychiatric nursing.
• BSN or BS in related health field; active pursuit acceptable.
• Past supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the delivery of patient care.
• Collaborates with Medical Staff and Department Managers to ensure needs of the total service are met.
• Fosters and promotes open communications; assists in assessment of potential new patient referrals.
• Facilitates resolution of complaints or grievances by patients and visitors in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Makes decisions related to structure, coordination and resources for 24-hour nursing care.
• Supports Performance Improvement activities for nursing department efficiency.
• Participates in hiring, promotion, discipline and evaluation of unit staff; orientations and ongoing development.
• Uses growth and development principles to address age-specific patient needs.
