Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center in Westampton Township, New Jersey, seeks a part-time Unit Coordinator to manage clerical functions on the nursing unit and support patient care. This 24-hour-per-week role covers evening shifts from 6:45 pm to 3:15 pm, with rotating weekends.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and at least one year of experience with psychiatric patients; prior secretarial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR & First Aid certification required.
• One year experience working with a psychiatric patient population; secretarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage clerical functions to support nursing and patient care on the unit.
• Assist in direct care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues.
• Knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health patient issues and behavior management.
• Ensure accurate documentation and time management; communicate effectively in writing and by phone.
