Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nursing Manager (Registered Nurse) to lead and oversee patient care delivery across multiple sites. You will partner with the nursing team and leadership to assure quality care, and implement innovative care models while supporting fiscal stewardship of the clinic/department.

The role requires 3–5 years of leadership in a clinical setting, strong communication, and active RN licensure in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Maintains professional competency through literature review, education, and professional involvement.
• Current RN licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, develop, supervise, and evaluate delivery of patient care at multiple sites or departments.
• Provide clinic leadership and partner with nursing, care teams, and leadership to ensure quality patient care.
• Facilitate staff empowerment and innovative patient care delivery models; drive multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Collaborate with the Administrator for fiscal management of the clinic/department.

Job Description

The Nursing Manager is a Registered Nurse who is accountable for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating the delivery of patient care at multiple sites or departments. Provides clinic leadership and works in partnership with nursing, the health care team and leadership to assure quality patient care. Care is provided in accordance with departmental, Henry Ford Medical Group and Henry Ford Health policies and procedures. Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services. In conjunction with the Administrator, assumes responsibility for fiscal management of clinic/department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related field required.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent preferred.
• Three to five (3-5) years of progressively more responsible experience demonstrating leadership skills in a clinical setting required. Some examples include Charge Nurse Duties; Leadership of special projects such as Service Excellence teams; Quality Improvement initiatives, Clinic Process Redesign.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage complex clinical, administrative, and interpersonal problems.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Maintains professional competency through review of current literature, attendance at educational programs, and participation in professional organizations.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
