Job summary

Atrium Health University City - Maternity seeks a Nurse Manager to lead the Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. The role oversees clinical and operational functions, ensuring safe, cost-effective care delivered by a skilled team.

Ideal candidates have maternity nursing experience and progressive leadership, with RN licensure and MSN preferred; MSN enrollment within 1 year is expected. 40-hour workweek, day shift, with some night/weekend rotation.

Qualifications

RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred; MSN enrollment expected within 1 year.
Previous management experience preferred with leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead maternity unit operations and staff to deliver high-quality care.
Oversee nursing care, clinical and professional competency development.
Manage recruitment, orientation, credentialing and staff development.
Monitor performance improvement activities to enhance outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee budget and resource allocation for the unit.
