Job summary

Mercy seeks a Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room to provide 24-hour leadership for a high-volume perioperative team in a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center with 27 operating rooms. You will drive safe, high-quality patient care and operational excellence.

You will develop staffing plans, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and outcomes. BSN and active RN license required; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• BSN required.
• Progressive perioperative leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a high-volume surgical services department.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, patient satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflow and care delivery.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a highly engaged perioperative team.
• Support professional development, competency management, and performance excellence.
• Align departmental goals with Nursing Strategic Plans.
