Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room to lead a 24-hour, high-volume surgical services team within a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center. You will ensure safe, high-quality patient care while driving operational excellence and staff engagement.

Responsibilities include staffing, workflow optimization, safety culture, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• BSN required.
• Progressive perioperative leadership experience.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a complex, high-volume surgical services department.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation to support patient care needs.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, patient satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflow and care delivery.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based practices to achieve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a highly engaged perioperative team.
• Support professional development, competency management, and performance excellence.
• Align departmental goals with Nursing Strategic Plans.
