Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room to provide 24-hour leadership of a Level I Trauma Center surgical services team. Manage safe, high-quality patient care and drive operational excellence while engaging staff and improving outcomes.

You will oversee staffing, workflow, and performance improvement initiatives within a multi-room OR environment, aligning with Mercy standards and strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• BSN degree required, Master’s preferred.
• Progressive perioperative leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Main Operating Room, a high-volume surgical unit.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to remove workflow barriers.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based practices.
• Ensure regulatory and organizational standards compliance.
• Recruit, coach, and retain an engaged perioperative team.
• Support professional development and performance excellence.
• Align goals with Nursing Strategic Plans.
