Carefree Living in Silver Bay, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our assisted living team. The role emphasizes resident-centered care, teamwork, and a supportive environment.

Hours are Monday–Friday, daytime, with pay based on experience and licensure. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and a positive resident experience.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota LPN or RN license is required.
• Experience with resident-centered care and teamwork is valued.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and medication administration.
• Participate in care planning and conferences with nurses.
• Assist with admissions and provide treatments as directed.
• Document care accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Mentor and coach Resident Assistants; ensure medication processes.
• Support compliance with company policies and Medicare license.

Schedule & Compensation

Hours: Monday–Friday, daytime schedule

Pay: Based on experience and licensure

What You'll Do:

• As the LPN or RN you will play an important part in ensuring residents receive exceptional care each day while working within a supportive interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities include: Assist each client to reach and maintain his or her highest level of performance and independence by performing assistance with activities of daily living and implementing scheduled services as needed, medication administration and assure residents have adequate medication supply
• Participates with registered nurses in the development and review of care plans; participates in care conferences
• Assist with the admission process as directed
• Perform safe administration of medications and implementation of treatments and other therapies as directed
• Completing documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supporting Resident Assistants through mentorship, coaching, and positive leadership Managing medication orders, refills, and overall medication processes
• Performing supervisory visits, completing chart reviews, and ensuring compliance with company policies and our Medicare Comprehensive License
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication with residents, family members, staff, and other health care providers. Maintain service excellence and a high level of confidentiality.
• Actively participate in agency-wide activities and its continuous quality improvement
• Understand the importance of seeking assistance as needed and demonstrate dependability and capability of following instructions. Adhere to policies, and procedures and participate in the organization's quality improvement program.

What We're Looking For

• Current Minnesota LPN or RN license
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work professionally and respectfully with staff, residents, and families
• Experience in Assisted Living highly preferred
• Familiarity with Alzheimer's/dementia care is a plus
• Confidence using electronic documentation systems
• A team-oriented mindset and desire to contribute to a supportive work culture
