Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is seeking a results‑driven Nurse Manager to lead nursing and designated patient care services within the hospital. The role supports the CNO, ensures high‑quality patient care, staff competency, and optimal resource management across units.

The position oversees 24/7 operations, mentors staff, and collaborates with leadership to maintain safe and efficient day‑to‑day department performance while optimizing productivity and cost control.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Experience: Nursing experience plus 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full-time charge nurse/related position.
• Licensure/Certification: RN with current applicable state licensure / permit; BLS certification; ACLS required within 3 months of hire; CPI, PALS, and NRP training/completion within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs the daily patient care operations of the unit.
• Maintains the performance of the operational aspects of designated unit(s) while providing mentoring and leadership support to the unit staff.
• Delegates appropriate tasks to staff, consistent with legal and professional guidelines and departmental standards.
• Provides leadership and acts as a resource to staff, providing direct patient care when required.
• Meets job- and department-specific competencies as determined by nursing leadership.
• Performs related duties as required.
