Position Overview

Chief Nursing Officer – Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett, TN

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is a 156‑bed facility serving Bartlett and the surrounding community, accredited by The Joint Commission. The CNO leads nursing and designated patient care services, driving quality and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse recruitment, retention and succession planning
• Foster a culture of safety, engagement, and professional development
• Support workforce planning, competency development and education programs
• Promote a respectful, inclusive, high‑performing work environment
• Ensure delivery of safe, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Oversee care delivery models, clinical systems and practice standards
• Drive continuous improvement in outcomes, safety and patient experience
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Monitor key metrics (clinical outcomes, infection rates, patient satisfaction)
• Mitigate clinical risk and ensure corrective actions

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience (ACNO, Director or equivalent) in a complex hospital setting
• Demonstrated success in clinical operations, quality improvement and workforce leadership
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required
• Active RN license required
• Preferred certifications: CENP, NEA‑BC or similar
