Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS, seeks an experienced Nursing Leader for Labor and Delivery. You will mentor and develop the nursing team, optimize care delivery, update policies, and manage daily operations and budget to ensure safe, high-quality care for mothers and newborns.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as an RN in L&D with at least 1 year in a leadership role, Kansas RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in Kansas and current with the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Minimum 3 years as RN in L&D with at least 1 year in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower unit staff to develop a high-performing, compassionate team.
• Optimize patient care delivery by removing bottlenecks and streamlining workflow.
• Develop and update evidence-based unit policies to maintain standards.
