Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS is seeking an experienced registered nurse for Labor and Delivery on a rotating PRN schedule. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, holistic patient outcomes.

Minimum requirements include BLS within 30 days of hire, AAP NRP certification within 180 days, and Kansas RN licensure. Advanced Life Support is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or transfer date
• AAP NRP certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or transfer date
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Kansas Board of Nursing prior to hire date or transfer date
• ACLS preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care aligned with safety standards
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, holistic patient care
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real-time and document precisely
• Advocate for patient journeys by initiating and managing discharge plans
