Job summary

Ascension in Nashville is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for the ICU to lead patient care delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee staffing, policies, quality initiatives and budget adherence, while fostering professional development and physician collaboration in a high-acuity setting. This is a full-time days role located at Saint Thomas Midtown ICU.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date
• RN credentialed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing
• ACLS within 6 months if working in adult critical care

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance for self and unit(s).
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care in the unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies/procedures for efficient health services in the unit(s).
• Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the unit(s).
• Monitor budget and approve expenditures to meet guidelines.

• Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Required if working in adult critical care setting.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
