Job summary

Heritage Woods of Watseka is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality resident care at our Watseka, Illinois community.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, infection control, and collaboration with physicians and families to deliver compassionate, compliant care. LPN licensure is required, RN preferred, with strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Maintains current state nursing licensure. LPN required, RN preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities with mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment of residents and develops individualized care plans.
• Performs wellness assessments and health promotion activities.
• Leads clinical team and coordinates infection control program and medication management.
• Engages with residents, families, and physicians to ensure compassionate care.
• Oversees QA and performance improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off-site visitsPerforms wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans based on the needs and preferences of each residentDelivers health promotion services, offers disease prevention counseling, and provides self-care education to residentsApproximately 20% of hours will be providing hands-on nursing responsibility and direct careEngages with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experienceFosters communication by regularly engaging with physicians, pertinent healthcare providers, and family membersHires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team in providing exceptional care experiencesCoordinates the Community’s infection control program while maintaining state regulatory complianceDevelop and oversee the Community’s medication management programContributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiativesComplies with all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident informationQualifications:Maintains current state nursing licensure.
