Qualifications

• BSN required, Master's preferred.
• Illinois RN license required; out-of-state licenses not accepted.
• 3–5 years ICU nursing with progressive leadership.
• National certification in critical care required or within six months of hire.
• Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS within six months of hire.
• BLS/ACLS Instructor preferred or obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize knowledge to provide safe, coordinated care for diverse patients at risk of deterioration.
• Create a supportive, psychologically safe work environment and model professional leadership.
• Identify safety concerns and lead quality improvement and problem-solving efforts.
• Plan and participate in education for interprofessional teams on deterioration management.
• Respond to organizational communications in a timely and effective manner.
• Demonstrate competence with departmental IS applications.
• Work flexible shifts and days as required.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
