Job summary

Advocate Health in Chicago seeks a motivated Registered Nurse for the ICU. This full-time role involves leading clinical and support staff, coordinating resources, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment.

You will participate in budgeting, program development, and vendor coordination, with a strong emphasis on age-specific patient needs. The position requires RN licensure in the state, a BSN or active enrollment in a BSN program, and BLS certification

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in the state
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health-related field; or Associate Degree with BSN in progress
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources to support procedures and day-to-day operations and patient flow.
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic, and quality care.
• Promote communication among patients, families, hospital departments and staff to optimize interdependence.
• Mentor staff, provide day-to-day direction, and guide on complex issues with unit leadership.
• Assist with human resource responsibilities, including interviewing and resolving employee concerns.
