Job summary

AdventHealth Home Health and Hospice Inc. in Altamonte Springs, FL seeks a Nurse Manager to lead nursing staff in home health and hospice programs.

You will oversee budgets, recruitment, coaching, performance evaluations, and payroll, ensuring safe, compliant patient care. The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and CHPN preferred; you will supervise schedules, participate in audits, and promote evidence-based practice with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing skills in compliance with ethical/legal parameters.
• Knowledge of patient database system (Homeworks).
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of third party reimbursement and cost containment.
• Knowledge of basic supervisory practices and procedures.
• Ability to conduct interviews of prospective employees.
• Ability to follow infection control guidelines.
• Knowledge of hospice services provided by Hospice of the Comforter (preferred).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to write effective correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets and resources to meet financial and operational goals.
• Supervise HR functions: recruitment, hiring, coaching, evaluations, payroll.
• Provide education/training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Prepare unit for audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
