Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Managed Care is seeking a compassionate Charge Nurse (RN) to lead nursing teams in daily operations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a correctional or managed care setting, using EMR tools to support clinical decisions.

The position requires a valid RN license and 2+ years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months as an RN.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months of that experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Possession of a valid, current RN license as approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners.

Responsabilités

• Makes daily assignments and ensures completion of tasks.
• Communicates patient data using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to support decision making and improve patient care.
• Administers or assists with medication administration and documentation.
• Supports unit goals by attending meetings and sharing information with staff.
• Participates in quality audits.
• Maintains documentation to ensure standards of care and policy compliance.
• Keeps accurate records of employee performance.

About the Division:

Since 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has served as a healthcare deliveryservice, providing high quality, low cost healthcare to patientswithin the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. We providemedical, mental health, and dental services to patients in 22facilities throughout West Texas. Managed Care emphasizes ourvalues-based culture in all we do.

Occasional Duties

Contribute flexibly by performing other duties as assigned tosupport patient care and unit operations.

Required Qualifications
