Job summary

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, seeks an experienced Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to lead a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional cardiovascular care.

You will shape clinical practice, drive safety and quality outcomes, mentor staff, and collaborate with physicians to deliver timely, patient-centered interventional services in a mission-driven, caregiver-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license; WA RN license required by date of hire.
  • BLS certification upon hire.
  • Minimum three years of related nursing experience.
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities, such as Charge Nurse or Supervisor.
  • Financial and budget management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, including staffing, scheduling, quality initiatives, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and procedural care teams while promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth.
  • Support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular services, ensuring efficient patient flow and operational excellence.
  • Drive recruitment, retention, engagement, and succession planning efforts.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance to achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular specialists, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery.
  • Promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and exceptional patient experiences across all procedural areas.

What You'll Do

As the Nurse Manager - Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will provide leadership for department operations while fostering an environment focused on quality, safety, service excellence, caregiver engagement, and exceptional cardiovascular outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, including staffing, scheduling, quality initiatives, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and procedural care teams while promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth
  • Support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular services, ensuring efficient patient flow and operational excellence
  • Drive recruitment, retention, engagement, and succession planning efforts
  • Monitor operational and financial performance to achieve departmental goals
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular specialists, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery
  • Support strategic growth initiatives within cardiovascular services
  • Evaluate caregiver performance, conduct annual reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and development
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, accreditation, and organizational standards
  • Promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and exceptional patient experiences across all procedural areas
  • Participate in patient care activities and procedural support as needed
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Washington RN license required by date of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Minimum three years of related nursing experience
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities, such as Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership roles
  • Financial and budget management experience
