Job summary

RCA - Recovery Centers of America Management Company seeks a Nurse Manager to lead nursing units at a treatment facility. You will supervise staff, ensure clinical quality, and implement training aligned with RCA policies and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Health Care Providers, overseeing patient care, safety, and evidence-based practices while contributing to staff development and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current/Active State Licensure as registered nurse strongly required.
• At least two years of experience in behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Current CPR or BLS certification preferred (or must complete during orientation period).
• Experience in Motivational Interviewing, Clinical Supervision, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Addiction Treatment planning; strong EMR knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to be flexible in adjusting to new and changing situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred.
• CARN certification preferred, where applicable.
• Competency in performing CLIA waived testing.
• Proficiency in screening/assessing for suicide ideation and aggression.
• Ability to safely administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Direct Staff supervision, mentorship, and evaluation of all nursing staff.
• Ensures high quality clinical outcomes through electronic monitoring and direct oversight.
• Ensures all nursing staff are trained in job functions through formal and remedial trainings.
• Develops training plans based on identified needs and ensures events are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to implement new initiatives.
• Remains current with RCA policy, protocols, and tech changes and updates training accordingly.
• Annually updates emergency response, infection control and training plans.
• Ensures staff are current with required electronic seminars per position.
• Consults with Nursing and Medical directors to support RCA mission and values.
• Interacts with patients and families to promote person-centered care.
• Maintains standards of care with safety and evidence-based practice.
• Assists compliance with accreditors and regulatory standards.
• Monitors nursing competencies and conducts remedial actions as needed.
• Works with leadership as part of the site leadership team.
• Performs rounding and supports each unit as assigned.
• Monitors staff schedule and payroll.
