Job summary

Maplewood at Darien is seeking a Resident Service Designee/Assistant Director of Nursing (RN required) in Darien, CT. The role supports the Resident Service Director to coordinate professional and auxiliary nursing staff and ensure delivery of high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include supervising medication administration, conducting assessments, and facilitating service plan development while maintaining regulatory compliance and promoting residents’ independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CT nursing license (RN or LPN).
• Experience in assisted living, skilled nursing or retirement centers preferred.
• Experience in supervisory roles and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical services meet state regulations and policies.
• Coordinate nursing and personal care services for residents.
• Oversee medication administration and collaborate with physicians.
• Assist with service plan development and reviews.
• Lead staff orientation, ongoing training, and competency development.
• Provide resident care and wellness counseling.
• Monitor infection control and quality assurance practices.
