Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Bethel, CT, seeks an Associate Director of Nursing (RN Designee). This full-time role (Tue-Sat) supports the Resident Services Director in administering nursing services and coordinating professional nursing staff to deliver quality resident care.

The RN Designee will interpret policies, monitor service quality, oversee medication delivery, and coordinate in-service training, ensuring residents maintain independence and well-being in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Connecticut.
• Minimum one-year experience in assisted living or home care.
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers and staff.
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Resident Services Director (Director of Nursing) in the administration of the nursing services.
• Directs, plans, and coordinates services activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering resident care.
• Interprets policy and regulations to nursing personnel and ensures compliance.
• Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to ensure quality of resident care.
• Oversees the resident health care service needs, including the medication delivery system and training coordination for the Resident Care Departments.
• Contributes to a team approach to quality resident care by attending to residents' physical, emotional and social needs.
