SJS HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking an Assistant Manager-Nursing to lead PACU, Pre-Anesthesia, PAT and Outpatient Surgery Center operations in Springfield, IL. The role focuses on staff supervision, workflow development, and ensuring high-quality patient care across shifts.

The position requires an RN license, 2 years as staff nurse in acute care, and leadership experience. BSN is preferred; BLS required with ACLS as needed. Schedule Mon–Fri 8:00–4:30 with every fifth weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s of science in nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in state of practice (BLS required; ACLS may be required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care and unit operations in PACU, Pre-Anesthesia, PAT and Outpatient Surgery Center.
• Involve in hiring, transfers, performance improvement and staff assignments.
• Develop workflows, prepare operational reports and administer department protocols.
• Supervise unit staff and advocate for excellent patient care.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
