Job summary

The role requires clinical licensure, a bachelor’s in a relevant field, and CIPC certification within three years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing, allied health, or related field; Master’s may substitute for up to one year of experience.
• Current licensure in clinical field; CIPC within three years of employment.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIPC) within three years of employment.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conducts surveillance and analyzes infection-related data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintains ongoing surveillance for healthcare-associated infections and related risks.
• Implements evidence-based infection prevention strategies to reduce infection risk.
• Leads investigations and management of infection-related events and outbreaks.
• Evaluates and updates infection prevention plans to meet regulatory standards.
• Reviews policies and provides education to staff on infection prevention measures.
• Participates in quality improvement, accreditation, and regulatory readiness initiatives.
• Promotes adherence to infection prevention practices hospital-wide.
