Job summary

USA Health Systems is recruiting an Infection Prevention professional to oversee surveillance and intervention programs across Mobile area facilities. The role focuses on reducing healthcare-associated infections and leading regulatory readiness efforts.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, provide education to staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing, allied health, a physical or natural science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Master's Degree may substitute for up to one year of the required experience (preferred).
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIPC) within three years of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts surveillance, analyzes infection-related data and trends, and identifies opportunities for intervention and performance improvement.
• Maintains ongoing surveillance for healthcare-associated infections, multidrug-resistant organisms, communicable diseases, and other infection prevention risks.
• Implements evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
• Leads investigations, reporting, and management of infection-related events, outbreaks, and other epidemiologically significant occurrences.
• Implements and evaluates infection prevention plans that support goals, regulatory requirements, and patient safety initiatives.
• Evaluates effectiveness of infection prevention practices and recommends process improvements.
