Apple Rehab Mystic is seeking an experienced RN to join as Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) and Infection Control Nurse. This role blends nursing leadership with infection prevention to support high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will oversee infection control, wound care management, and serve as acting DNS when needed. CT RN license, 3+ years in long-term care, and CIC/WCC certifications are preferred or obtainable within a year.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care, with a strong background in infection control, wound care, and/or nursing leadership.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, infection control, and wound care documentation software.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) and/or Wound Care (WCC) preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Infection Control Duties: Oversee the facility’s infection prevention program and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Wound Care Duties: Manage wound care for residents, develop care plans, and educate staff.
• Assistant Director of Nursing Duties: Assist DNS in daily operations, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and step in as acting DNS.
