Job summary

Apple Rehab Avon is seeking a RN who will lead the infection prevention program and staff development, coordinating orientation and ongoing training for all personnel within the facility.

The role requires monitoring infections, reporting outbreaks, and ensuring CMS and OSHA compliance, with direct nursing care as needed and wound care coordination. Experience in hospital or long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license in good standing.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of infection-control principles and CMS/OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement infection control program.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and ongoing training across facility.
• Monitor infections, track outbreaks and report to medical staff.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed by Nursing Services.
• Wound care involvement and CMS Mega Rule compliance.
