Job summary

Intersect Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver quality nursing care and coordinate total care for residents in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include rounds with physicians, medication administration, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with supervision of CNAs as needed. Must hold a Michigan RN license and CPR certification; two years of related long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations governing nursing practice in long-term care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions to implement intervention and develop Care Plans.
• Make rounds with a physician; observe symptoms and adjust care as necessary.
• Provide preventative, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care for residents.
• Administer medications to residents per policies and physician orders.
• Document in PCC and maintenance of medical records; coordinate appointments.
• Monitor and assist CNAs with resident care duties and daily activities.
