Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a nursing leader to join our departmental leadership teams, guiding unit-level strategies in alignment with Magnet principles and organizational goals. You will communicate policies, mentor staff, and foster evidence-based practice with physicians and clinical educators.

Work occurs in a clinical environment with 7:00 am–3:30 pm hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including day-one medical, dental and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and wellness programs

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BSN program and 2 YOE.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership behaviors to align nursing and organizational strategies with Magnet philosophy.
• Participate in formulation of nursing policies and goals affecting the department.
• Communicate policies and procedures to patients, visitors and staff.
• Mentor staff and foster positive working relationships with Medical Director and Physician Liaison.
• Develop orientation, continuing education and competencies with Clinical Nurse Educators.
• Supervise assigned personnel and manage staffing, performance appraisals, and scheduling.
