Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced nursing leader to coordinate and supervise the delivery of nursing care on assigned units. You will ensure compliance with policies, laws, and Magnet expectations while supporting the vision and goals of the Nursing Department and organization.

The role includes budgetary and personnel responsibilities, ongoing support of the Electronic Medical Record, and initiatives to improve patient experience and care quality for patients

Qualifications

• Graduate from specialty training program in nursing is required.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree related field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise nursing care on assigned units.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and Magnet standards.
• Promote positive guest relations and patient/family experience.
• Develop improvements in organization and delivery of high quality, cost-effective care.
• Provide direct supervision, orientation and performance appraisal of staff.
